HWS sets a high standard for itself when it comes to partying out. HWS' sofficial chill out day was awesome, too good to forget for a while until the standards set by this party is broken by another "GREAT" day.
The day began with brain teasers. This event was not only intellectually stimulating but also great fun. It forced each and every member to send millions of signals through their neurons..... think ..think and again think... What an exercise!!! What an Idea!!
Questions being fired randomly and replies coming in from all directions. Things were little more different in the final round when Priyanka Roy single handedly demolished all hopes of the three teams to win the coveted first Prize with Praveen Agarwal as her team mate. The efforts of Vikas and Saurabh got them to be second in line and I could see both of them smiling at Sumit and Gaurav who ended up cheering the top teams.
Then began an rendezvous with Reena and her ideas. The event management team's ideator "Reena" and their Captain "Anupam" along with an able team gave the glimpses of the "time" to come.. The candle event was a huge ..huge hit it lighted up the spirits of the crowd, bringing in roars and applause from everyone.
"P Subba Reddy" and "Ratish" proved that when it comes to burning down anything and everything... they are the best..candles seemed nothing for them.... Not everyone could hold their breaths with this kind of excitement and many let their breaths out ... resulting in some contestants suffering, as they struggled to light up their candles...
Vikas and Nrupal were leading this leading this activity... One liners from here and there were bringing smiles and laughters from every quarters..
Throwing rings to claim a water bottle caused equal excitement, although the match ended in draw but Saurabh's emotion when throwing the rings and Akshay's thought process visible through his facial expressions were the highlights of this round. Sinju couldnt handle the rings ..he was throwing them as if firing darts...
Ballon games are always exciting with water filled in them, but with winters haunting everyone in night... air ballon made it to the arena.. Praveen Agarwal proved once and for all .. that when it comes to "blowing something out of proportion" he is the most sort after guy...
Everyone finally ended up in the conference room, lights were switched off and a great presentation by our CEO. The crowd needed some encouragement before they could start interacting, never mind I understand the philosophy.... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt"- "Abraham Lincoln" - "I strongly believe in this" and I am happy that you all also believe in the same..
Then the team decides to move into the venue for the partyyyyy...... A dozen reach the place immeditaely, and others kept everyone waiting. There were some great moments in the beginning giving insights of the latter half of the evening... Pankaj disclosed something, Vikas revealed his heart out, Ankesh planning to gate crash the party held just opposite of our own... Hemant and me relishing the chit chat of all..
Gals had decided that they will "dress to kill" for this occassion and a few guys acting up as "braveheart" ready to be killed by an able opponent. Meticuolous preparation for a party has been strength of gals and they did not disapoint, everyone was looking gorgeous and in a mood to have fun. Guys as usual high on energy looking to hit the dance floor, enegry drink also helped a couple of guys!!
Cheerful Music, soft fragance in the air, upbeat mood, great crowd... Now what do you expect?
Megha and Anupam started the dance with a great number and the phenomenon never ended throughout the night.... "We will come to this topic a little later"...
Music chair competition... Lots of fun, lots of running for a chair, small disappointments for a few and a well deserved victory by Vikas. Wild card entrant "Priyanka" fought a great battle to be in the top contestants to win but Vikas "fighter" forgot that he needs to give a chair to a lady. There were nice fights for chairs.. Although at the end Vikas dedicated his victory to a gal, in "private" though.. after he was given his "prize"... we celebrated his birthday as well..in style though.
Now Back to Dance ... The dance floor was illuminated with the presence of some energetic individuals, every beat was matched by great moves, feets were thumping, body was moving and it turned the chilling temperatures into such a warm feeling. Shweta, Megha, Priyanka(s&r), Sonal made their presence felt in the dance floor. Lots of guys came in and went out from the dance floor.. but Anupam, Akshay, Sinju, Sumit, Hemant, Kapil, saurabh made their mark. I could resist for a while but my feet gave away and I ended up in the dane floor, even if my ligament was screaming for rest.
Awesome moves, high of enegry ... No one could match the enthusiasm of Anupam, Akshay, Shweta, Megha, Sinju... They enjoy dancing and they made this ample clear.. It little difficult to "cover" dancing in words.. but as a professional "reporter" I would say, few things are "for eyes only" and cannot be enjoyed through reading. Music and dance being the notable one amongst them.
A little persuasion and almost all the team members came in to the dance floor for once... A few escaped with great excuses. Alok's little chap was enjoying and the glow is his face was visible, he couldn find a sweet gal on the floor and was disappointed for that.
A few songs made the crowd really wild and they danced as if there is no tomorrow..... Style and smiles, moves and deadly steps, body reacting to music, senses on their own, and moments flying at the speed of thought.... The night shouldn have ended but it had to...
Akshay and Ankush were joined by their respective soulmates and parents. They were dressed in a gracefully elegant manner!! They also couldnt resist the dance floor and the message was clear "the night is for joy and happiness".
Bonfire was their when needed, all my BPO team members are "nocturnal" creatures, they love the dark night and it loves them, music was an added flavour... so they utilised this time for some great dance, fun and enjoyment.
---- This mail is now long enough.... Got to say bye.... If you think this mail is ending abruptly, then I would say "this is not at all the ending rather it is the beginning, as our road to parties".
However, this mail cannot end with one last line.
"I salute the event management team for their effort and giving us something we thorughly deserved and have been waiting for soooo loooong...."
